QA/QC Officer

QA/QC OFFICERS
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements, procedures and contracts for pipeline and related facility construction projects.

Prepare QA/QC documents such as ITP, QA Plan, WPS/PQR and other project specific inspection and test procedures.

Perform internal audits/reviews as per ISO requirements. Responsible for maintenance of QMS as per ISO 9001

Ensure verification and inspection are consistent with criticality, statutory and contractual obligations

Liaise with Production, Projects and other relevant departments to ensure proper implementation of project quality plans.

Monitor and Control inspection & test activities performed by contractors.

Liaise with Client Inspector, Third party Inspector, DOSH and Authorized Inspector with regards to all QA/QC Matters.

Monitoring and resolving NCRs and CARs.Manage preventiveaction procedures.

Requirements:

Candidate must possessat least aBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Petroleum / Oil / Gas/ Construction Management / Structural / Mechanical or related discipline.)
Has at least 5 years experience in O&G industrywith relevant training in QA / ISO system in project environment
Must have at least 5 years experience dealing with steel fabrication / construction processes and familiar with welding, painting, fabrication processes.
Must be conversant with Quality System (ISO 9000); candidate will be Company’s Quality Management Representative
Has to coordinate Project QA/QC activities with both Client, Vendors and internal Project team to Project Quality requirements
Has the ability to work seamlessly with engineering, construction and operations contractors.
Must be able to perform related QC functions and inspections.
Must be able to work independently although part of a team environment.
Diligent, positive, have good leadership, problem solving, analytical skills and is results oriented
Flexible and able to work under pressure during challenging periods to meet project deadlines.
Good presentational skills both in written and oral English.

QC PAINTING INSPECTOR(IMPSA)

QC PAINTING INSPECTOR
(Perak - Lumut Port)



Responsibilities:

To report all matters regarding blasting and painting work.
Adherence to safety practices.
To check random on abrasive use and equipment.
Ensure all equipment use is according to safety requirement.
To take reading on all DFT status after painting and records on inspection painting report.
To update the progress and schedule of all painting works.
To check weather condition from time to time prior painting activities and inspection.
To liaise with production and erection team on all painting progress and schedule.
Painting application should carry out below 85% relative humidity and to be recorded.
To submit daily painting record to QA/QC Manager.
To follow strictly Inspection Test Plan, Painting procedures and Client’s requirement.
Perform any related duties as and when required by QA / QC Manager.
Responsible for ensuring that specification for surface preparation and painting system application comply with the Project Specification for Painting and Coatings document.
To use and maintain calibrated inspection equipment.
Prepare and maintain full records of all inspections performed, and shall make these available to the company on request.
Ensuring that surface preparation, curing and weather condition, comply with relevant standard.
Provision of protection on effect of climatic conditions on paint applications.
Application of painting products in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Recording of all pertinent data using applicable logs and checklists.

Requirements:

Minimum SPM or equivalent and possessed certified certificate by IMM level II or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experiences in industrial painting from heavy industry.
Must have knowledge in relevant standards and specification e.g. British Standard, Steel Structure Painting Council, Swedish standard.
Knowledge in mechanical catalogues general assembly (GA), P&ID and other related drawings and operation of blast cleaning equipment and airless spray equipment for the application of heavy paints
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Word/Excel on a PC, producing a weekly report of work carried out.
Self propelled, used to project planning and meeting timescales, ordering spare parts/blasting material as required.
