The NDT Technology Group is expanding due to a significant order growth. Over the past eleven years, we have
delivered significant and sustained growth and are seeking talented individuals to enter this fast-moving team
environment to underpin and drive our technical excellence and expanding market share. Our activities include
advanced NDT R&D, Structural Health Monitoring, Condition Monitoring and Numerical modelling. We also
develop and review the NDT procedures and implement innovative inspection techniques for the Oil & Gas,
Power Generation, Aerospace, Automotive and Civil and Construction industries in the following methods:
MT, PT, RT & UT (PAUT&TOFD), LRUT, Qualifying and certifying NDT personnel and equipments.
We are currently establishing a Total Quality Inspection (TQI) team to be based at TWI SEA (Malaysia) and we
are looking for a Level 3 candidate to support the growth opportunities in the Far East region. This role will link
into our Engineering Services activities in SEA in accordance with Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Engineering
Critical Assessments (ECA) principles and selection of appropriate NDT techniques.
The candidate will have the following roles, but not limited to:
NDT procedure development and qualification
NDT system (equipment, procedure, operator) performance demonstration
Probability of detection studies
Interpretation of codes and standards
You will also receive support from the UK NDT team on the latest R&D activities and achievements and will
participate in its TQI initiative to improve inspection working practices through focussing on client needs,
continuous improvement and team building.
To be selected for interview you must have at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification in physics, mechanical,
electrical/electronics or materials engineering; and relevant industrial experience. Proficiency with the design, test
and analysis tools relevant to the function with practical hands-on experience in multiple NDT modalities
(e.g. UT, PT, MT, RT, PAUT, TOFD, LRUT) and knowledge of relevant codes and standards ASME, API,
AWS & DNV are required.
Desirable attributes are: Substantial hands-on multi-modality NDT expertise - ASNT/PCN/CSWIP Level III
equivalency with project management experience, NDT field inspection experience with an emphasis on power
generation and oil & gas and knowledge of NDT inspection systems, personnel training and a broad
understanding of mechanical principles, welding and machining practices.
You will be required to demonstrate good team and networking abilities, initiative and self-motivation, and
strong verbal and written communication skills.
