WELDING INSPECTOR

In its rapid expansion, ArkWorld, is sourcing for right qualifications, experiences, dynamic, resourceful and committed individuals to help meet the need of the fast track project and fulfill the following position based in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Offshore.
Welding Inspector (Structural/Piping)
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
* Multiple positions available for Structural Inspectors, Piping Inspectors and Painting Inspectors
* Organise the Inspection operations defined under the approved inspection plan; ensures or requests the necessary means for proper implementation
* Follow up / Supervise/report the Inspection operations performed onshore and offshore, whether under the approved inspection plan or justified by an ad-hoc intervention.
* Ensure that facilities are fit for service and comply with the relevant regulation, company rules, technical codes and standard
* Liaise with team on day to day issues.
* Develop and recommended approval of structural procedures and applied fabrication methods, processes and techniques.
* Perform routine checks to ensure workmanship practices are uniform and consistent throughout all aspects of steel work fabrication, verification and testing.
* Review and comment on structural drawings and specifications.
* Verify and monitor the establishment of and adherence to company approved material tracking, void space closure, welding, NDE and punch list procedures.
* Verify witness and review status of welder and NDE technician qualifications.
* Understand the project schedule and be proactive in assessing activities that could impact the planning and progress.
* Perform local tolerance dimensional checks to verify as built dimensions.
* Review construction documentation for completeness and correctness.
* Review and verify final NDE results.
* Preparation of list of structural items for inclusion in final punch list.
* Document and communicate lessons learned in all above responsibilities.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess recognized qualification (Cswip 3.2, PCN, Cofrend, ASNT or equivalent) in basic NDT techniques and welding inspection
* Must posses valid Sea Survival certificate.
* Good knowledge of metallurgy, and of corrosion/welding, and of Marine Certification requirement
* At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Oil/Gas or equivalent.

- Requirements: Velosi Energy Consultants, a global engineering consultancy is currently recruiting experienced design engineers from all disciplines for various onshore/offshore oil and gas projects to be based in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Candidate should be a Malaysian citizen and must have between 10 to 18 years of working experience on Offshore Specifications, FPSO conversion, wellhead platform, subsea pipeline etc.
